Jeffrey L. Gevirtz, MD, FACS has practiced general urology in the Lehigh Valley for 18 years, with extensive experience in the treatment of urologic diseases including kidney stones, prostate diseases, urologic infections and cancers, erectile dysfunction, and specialized interest in the minimally invasive laser treatment of prostate conditions. He serves as assistant chief of the division of urology at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown, PA, and is a clinical assistant professor of surgery at Penn State Milton S. Hershey College of Medicine and Medical Center, Hershey, PA.

Dr. Gevirtz earned a bachelor of arts degree in the Biologic Basis of Behavior from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, and graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey- Rutgers Medical School, Piscataway, NJ. He trained in general surgery and completed his urology residency at Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University in Providence, RI. He received his American Board of Urology certification in 1993.

Dr Gevirtz is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Urological Association, and Lehigh County and Pennsylvania Medical Societies.

His contributions to the community include support for the Scleroderma Research Foundation and Scleroderma Foundation, past president of the Maimonides Society of the Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley, and board member of the Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley and Temple Beth El. Dr. Gevirtz is also active in fostering and participating in Arab/Israeli medical exchange missions to the Middle East.
