Carla D. Chiapella, MD, has practiced urology in the Lehigh Valley region for 20 years, with extensive experience in the treatment of general urologic diseases including kidney stones, urologic infections and cancers, prostate diseases, incontinence, bladder dysfunction, and vasectomy. She serves on the Medical Records Committee of the St. Luke's Hospital Health Network.
Dr. Chiapella earned a bachelor of science degree in biology from the University of California at Davis, Davis, CA, and a bachelor of science in nursing from Creighton University, Omaha, NE. She graduated with a medical doctorate from the Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, NE. Dr. Chiapella trained in general surgery at the University of Connecticut Health Center, Farmington, CT, and George Washington University Hospital, Washington, D.C., then completed her urology residency at Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University in Providence, RI. She received her American Board of Urology board certification in 1996.
Dr Chiapella is a member of the American Urological Association, American Medical Women's Association, Society of Women in Urology, Pennsylvania Society of Clinical Urologists, American Association of Clinical Urologists, and Lehigh County and Pennsylvania Medical Societies.
