Brian P. Murphy, MD, FACS has practiced general urology in the Lehigh Valley region for 22 years, with extensive experience in the treatment of urologic diseases including kidney stones, prostate diseases, urologic infections and cancers, erectile dysfunction, and specialized interest in the minimally invasive laser treatment of prostate conditions. He serves as the assistant chief of the division of urology of the Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network. Dr. Murphy is a member of its network wide quality assurance committee, and is a clinical assistant professor of surgery at Penn State Milton S. Hershey College of Medicine and Medical Center, Hershey, PA.
Dr. Murphy earned a bachelor of arts degree in biology from Yale University in New Haven, CT, and graduated from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He trained in general surgery and completed his urology residency at Wilford Hall Air Force Medical Center in San Antonio, TX, while serving in the United States Air Force Health Service in San Antonio, TX. He received his American Board of Urology certification in 1989.
Dr Murphy is a member of the American Medical Association, Lehigh County and Pennsylvania Medical Societies, American Urological Association, and American Academy of Clinical Urologists.
