Dr. Berger's January and June 2010 Earthquake Medical Relief Mission to Haiti
One of three physicians with the Lehigh Valley based Life Church team helping and caring for those of the earthquake ravaged nation. Early in the crisis, Dr. Berger functioned as the sole surgeon at the Love A Child orphanage in Fond Parisien, Haiti, which was converted to a regional acute care triage center. He and his family returned in June to provide further relief care.
Dr. Gevirtz's September, 2004 Visiting Physician Mission to the Israel/Lebanon Border Region
Dr. Gevirtz (center, top left picture) during one of his visits to the Middle East, while taking part in a mass casualty drill with a chemical warfare exposure suit at the Western Galilee Hospital in the Nahariya, Israel. His ongoing participation in this cross cultural visiting physician program continues to bring and send, to the Lehigh Valley, Arab and Jewish medical professionals, for the purpose of exposing each to the rigors and trying circumstances facing the respective host community.
