Denise Martinez, MSN, CRNP possesses a 16 year nursing career with a specialty focus on the care of patients within the hospital setting. Ms. Martinez has rendered services to a wide variety of patients in the general medical and surgical domain. However, over the years, she developed special interest & experience in clients with oncologic needs, including those involving the genitourinary tract. Ms. Martinez therefore, gained broad knowledge providing care to patients undergoing chemotherapy, biotherapy, radiation and surgical treatments for cancer. Later, she would devote several years to critically ill clients in the intensive care unit. As a physician extender of USLV, Ms. Martinez is perfectly suited to facilitate care for our pre- & post-surgical in-patients; in addition to providing hospital based urologic consultation.

Ms. Martinez obtained an Associate’s of Applied Science in Nursing at CUNY/Borough of Manhattan Community College in 1996. Upon relocation to Pennsylvania, she acquired her Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing from East Stroudsburg University in 2007 with subsequent enrollment in Drexel University's MSN program. Ms. Martinez completed this curriculum with honors and successfully obtained specialty certification as an acute care nurse practitioner in 2012. Furthermore, she maintains national certification in medical-surgical nursing.

Ms. Martinez' other passion includes fostering nursing education & promoting a culturally diverse healthcare work force. Ms. Martinez is bilingual in English-Spanish and has sustained faculty status with Northampton Community College since 2007, providing both clinical & didactic nursing instruction. She is an active member of the American Nurses Association, Society of Urologic Nurses & Associates, Greater Lehigh Valley Chapter of the Oncology Nurses Society and the PA Coalition of Nurse Practitioners.
