2003

Student teams in the Software Engineering course taught by Dr. Clif Kussmaul (Mathematical Sciences) in the spring semester worked on developing products to assist people with disabilities. The projects included PDA software for music therapy, a virtual vacation system, a solitaire game to help people learn the alphabet, a system that uses barcodes and a cell phone to read product information to consumers, and a system that uses radio-frequency identification to help people match clothing. This course was supported by a grant from the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance.
